The corps is demonstrating that they can hold lake levels to within a half foot even with massive rains. They see this as a must to protect fish laying their eggs this time of year. How in heaven's name can they justify this while ignoring the impact to real estate values and the economics of the areas around the lakes from drastic swings in lake level the rest of the year We've pleaded repeatedly with our congressmen to insist that the corps include economics in controlling lake levels. But for some reason they have chosen not to help.
All over America Trump is eliminating unnecessary regulations. How then can our congressmen ignore the impact on jobs and economics of poor lake level controls. And how can our congressmen ignore Corp's regulations that are holding back profitability of businesses connected with our lakes.
